Pedder Wilderness Lodge

We loved our time at the Wilderness Retreat. Our room in the Pedder Wing was basic but had everything we needed. Good heating. Fantastic dining area, seating area by fireplace and bar was a lovely spot to sit and relax. The meal and breakfast in the dining room was really good. All staff were very friendly. We only stayed one night but wished we could stay longer.

The whole experience was fantastic in an ideal part of the world. Just beautiful and peaceful. The rooms are well presented and have everything you need but it's not a 5 star resort so expectations need to reflect that. Don't let that turn you off though. My friends and I were all very happy with the comfortable and clean rooms. They have wifi, cable tv (fox), ensuites and tea and coffee making facilities. The family units have a kitchen and laundry as well. The food was sensational and a real surprise considering the location. I had slow cooked beef cheeks for dinner and it just melted in my mouth. Delicious! The pool and gym are very modern and I used them the whole time I was there quite happily. There is a fuel pump there and slow charging for EVs. I'd make sure to top up at maydena on the way down if you're in an ev as the slow charger is just that.... slow. Sarah and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone. Just a great end to end experience.
